footyapps ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

Anonymous visitor ID — a random cookie (fa_vid) used solely for upvote deduplication. It contains no personal information.
Analytics events — page views and outbound clicks are recorded with your IP address for rate limiting. IP addresses are not stored long-term.
Email address — only if you sign up for our newsletter (via Kit) or submit a product. We never sell or share your email.
Company accounts — if you claim a listing, we store your email, company name, and session data to manage your account.

How we use your data

To operate the directory and display listings
To send transactional emails (magic links, submission status updates)
To send newsletters if you have subscribed
To process payments via Stripe for Pro plan subscribers
To prevent abuse via rate limiting

Third-party services

Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and database
Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions
Resend — transactional email delivery
Kit — newsletter management

Cookies

We use two cookies:

fa_vid — anonymous visitor ID for upvote deduplication (persistent)
__Host-session — company login session (30-day expiry)
Microsoft Clarity cookies — first and third-party cookies used for behavioural analytics, site optimisation, and fraud/security purposes

Your rights

You may request deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing hello@footyapps.com. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time via the link in each email.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page.
